Kristin Dorney, an American resident in Canada, was disturbed by the efforts of certain homo-organizations to supress the speech of critics of homosexuality, feeling that it was better to openly confront them than to try to censor them. On the Usenet newsgroup she began a campaign of "research and evidence," working with other participants on the newsgroup to uncover factual information about homosexuality and research of it and counter the arguments of homosexual propaganda by proving them to be based upon misleading evidence, false statements, and outright lies. She founded the Dorney Project to expose the activities of the homosexual lobby organizations and so-called "think tanks" (lobbyists), who responded to Kristin with personal attacks and slander, and death threats.
